Calling all teens and young adults! We’re excited to invite you to be a part of Ignite4JC, our dynamic and vibrant Youth Ministry Program at Holy Family Parish & St. James Parishes! Whether you’re in 6th – 12th grade, from any denomination, or simply seeking to deepen your connection with Jesus, Ignite4JC is the place for you.

This transformative experience will help you unlock your inner power and embark on a spiritual journey that connects you with others and enables you to make a positive impact in your community.

Our goal is to help you uncover the depths of your faith and understand how you can let it shine brightly in your life. Just as Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden," we want you to embrace your role as a beacon of faith and inspiration. Through Ignite4JC, you’ll find the support and encouragement you need to ignite your spiritual journey and illuminate the path for others.

Our Youth Leadership Team

Ignite4JC is led by a dedicated youth leadership team comprising a core group of teens from our parish, along with our passionate youth ministry team. We have an exciting lineup of events and service project opportunities planned throughout the year, designed to make your faith journey engaging and impactful.

Ignite4JC – Where Faith Comes Alive!

ICYC & EPIC - Iowa Catholic Youth Conference

The Iowa Catholic Youth Conference (ICYC) is a collaborative event, co-sponsored by the Archdiocese of Dubuque and the Diocese of Davenport to bring a high-energy event to the young people of eastern Iowa.

ICYC originally targeted only Middle School youth in 2022. In 2025 ICYC expanded to add an event for High School youth as well. The middle school event and the high school event are separate and participants and/or parishes register for them separately.

EPIC for High School teens - Saturday, March 21, 2026, 5:30 - 9:00 PM
ICYC for Middle School youth - Sunday, March 22, 2026, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Both events are held at St. Ludmila Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and feature The Scally Brothers Band.

This is gonna to be EPIC!

EPIC is the element of the weekend that is focused exclusively for high school teens.

This will be a high energy night that packs in exciting challenges, a pizza party, faith discussions, and a concert by a dynamic national artist into a full three-hour event!

Cost

The cost for EPIC is $25 per person (youth or adult).

This cost includes a pizza party, national talent, and facility fees, and everything else that will make your EPIC experience amazing! (Travel costs may be added by your local parish.)

Life Teen Summer Camp Opportunity | CAMP CANA
For Holy Family & St. James High School Youth

High school teens (entering grades 9–12 in Fall 2026) are invited to an unforgettable Life Teen Summer Camp experience at Camp Cana in Missouri!

📅 Week of June 29 – July 4
💲 Cost: $650 per camper
🎒 Spots reserved for our group – limited availability!
📝 Registration deadline: February 18, 2026
