The week follows an Indiana Jones-style adventure where participants uncover clues, maps, and keys that reveal God's loving plan through the Ten Commandments.
Totus Tuus at Holy Family Parish
A Catholic Summer Adventure for Youth of All Ages!
This summer, Holy Family Parish is excited to offer Totus Tuus, a dynamic Catholic summer program that brings together faith, fun, friendship, prayer, learning, and the sacraments in an unforgettable week of adventure.
The name Totus Tuus means "Totally Yours" and was the motto of St. John Paul II, expressing complete trust and devotion to Jesus through Mary. Totus Tuus seeks to inspire young people to deepen their relationship with Christ while experiencing the joy of being part of the Catholic faith community.
What Makes Totus Tuus Different?
Totus Tuus isn't just another summer camp or Vacation Bible School. It is a Catholic faith immersion experience led by a team of energetic young adult missionaries who dedicate their summer to sharing the Gospel with children and teens.
Through engaging lessons, games, music, skits, prayer, Mass, service, and fellowship, participants discover that learning about their faith can be both meaningful and fun.
We will be offering a before & after Totus Tuus program to help accommodate offset transportation challenges for elementary age group.
Elementary Program (Grades 1–6)
Parish Before Program: The Lost Keys of the Kingdom 8am-9am
Totus Tuus 9am-3pm
Parish After Program: The Lost Keys of the Kingdom 3pm-4pm
Children entering grades 1–6 will spend their days enjoying:

Each day is carefully designed to help children encounter Jesus while building friendships and having fun. We will be offering a before & after Totus Tuus program to help accommodate working parents.
Middle & High School Program (Grades 7–12)
Parish Before Program: The Lost Keys of the Kingdom 6pm-6:30pm
Totus Tuus 6:30pm-8:45pm
Youth entering grades 7–12 gather in the evenings for:

💬 Small group discussions

⛪ Adoration and Reconciliation
🤝 Faith-filled friendships
The evening program creates a welcoming space where teens can ask questions, grow in faith, and discover how God is working in their lives.
A Truly Catholic Experience
At the heart of Totus Tuus is the Eucharist. Throughout the week, participants are invited to encounter Jesus through:

The curriculum is rooted in Sacred Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. In 2026, youth will explore The Commandments and the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary.
Parish Family Involvement
Totus Tuus is a parish-wide event that invites the entire Holy Family community to participate through:

🙌 Volunteering throughout the week

At Rocky Railway VBS, kids were able to discover Jesus' power can pull them through life's ups and downs. Rocky Railway was filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences that the kids were able to see, hear, touch, and even taste! Imagination Station Crafts, team-building games, cool songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. We were able to imagine what it would be like to journey on a steam train through the wild, vast, beautiful Rocky Mountains. Each day we learned a Bible Point, an important truth from the Bible to remember and help us to hang on to Jesus’ power to pull us through when things get tough. The Bible says, “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Christ is another name for Jesus. He gives us the strength we need to power through sadness or confusion or mad feelings.
We learned that when we’re friends with Jesus, he takes us to incredible places and shows us unbelievable things! God is right here with us always. God Sightings help us watch for Jesus’ awesome power in everyday life! A God Sighting could be a prayer, a hug from a parent, the sunshine, or a kind word from a friend. It could be providing a meal to a sick friend or encouraging a loved one who needs our support. We just have to learn to look. We have to make it a habit to keep an eye out for the daily, overwhelming evidence that God is doing great things all around us.
This year our service project goes hand in hand with our God Sightings. This year our VBS service project focused on Stewardship, which is all about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The Church sees stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents and volunteering for ministry and missions.
On our final day of riding the rails with the kids at Rocky Railway VBS…
Our Bible Point was: Jesus' power helps us be good friends.
Our Bible Story was: The church is united. (Acts 2:42-47; 4:32-35)
And our Bible Verse was: "Love each other in the same way I have loved you." (John 15:12)
Why It Matters…
Ask yourselves these questions:
Are the kids at our VBS, or our parishioners like or unlike the early Christians? Do we have a heart to serve, share, and bear one another’s heartaches? What would happen if our kids & families today had the same spirit of that first faith family? What would the church of tomorrow look like? This week we had the opportunity to open children's hearts and fill them with a passion for sharing Jesus’ love in powerful and practical ways! With Jesus’ power, we can transform tomorrow’s faith community into an environment of belonging, sharing, caring, and community. This week the kids & crews discovered how Jesus’ power can help them be faithful friends who truly care for each other.
Rocky Railway has been an incredible ride with all of you! Now we have officially come to the end of the line. I'd like to take a moment to thank every one of our amazing team and all of our Holy Family members who donated food, snacks, decorations, love, support and prayers for our BEST week of the Summer! I’m thankful for all of you. You’ve been my God Sightings this week. Hearing the children's beautiful voices, watching them show kindness to each other, and listening to their laughter shows me that Jesus’ power is all around us.

We had an amazing time with the children on an imaginative, impacting adventure! At Maker Fun Factory VBS, the kids discovered not only that God made them the way they are, but for a purpose too. Maker Fun Factory was filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids saw, heard, touched, and even tasted! Science-Fun Gizmos™, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats were just a few of the standout activities that helped faith flow into real life. Plus, the kids discovered how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings!
