Social Action Commission

This Commission encourages members of the parish to carry out the Church’s mission to build a just society both in our local community and throughout the world. Activities include local social action efforts, as well as efforts to address the root causes of injustice and poverty. This Commission is involved in all parish social action ministries. Food Pantry

Located at St. Mary’s, the food pantry is open the second Saturday of each month. Non-perishable food items are collected and then distributed to community members in need.

Good Samaritan Committee

This ministry is based on the words of Jesus, “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did it for me.” (Mt 26:40).

Prayer Chain

We often receive requests for prayers. One of the great ways we live our faith is through our prayers for one another. 

Second Collection for Charity

Determines designated charities for the 2nd collection which occurs on the second weekend of each month at each parish.
